Chance The Rapper has been having an awesome year thus far. His highly acclaimed project Coloring Book has been on tips of tongues since its release in May. The Chicago native threw a musical festival for his hometown titled Magnificent Coloring Day over the weekend [Sept. 24th.] The festival entailed performances from Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Young Thug, 2 Chainz, Tyler the Creator, and many more. It also included a unexpected surprise appearance from Kanye West.
During his set Chance invited the Chicago Children’s Choir to join him on stage for the albums closing track ‘Blessing (Reprise.) “So I realize I have something that I was supposed to come here and give y’all during this set and I don’t want to leave without making sure that y’all get that message,” said Chance after having the crowd participate in a sing-along for the songs chorus.
