Hip-Hop Takes Over the Grammy’s: The Nominations Are In

It’s been a good year for hip-hop, as the category leads this years nominations!

Jay-Z has racked up the most nominations this year with eight, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year.  Carter now has 74 nominations to his name with 21 wins.

Kendrick Lamar slid in behind Jigga with seven nominations off his acclaimed DAMN album. His nominations include Record of the Year and Album of the Year.

Bruno Mars nabbed six nominations.  Record of the Year, which he previously won for “Uptown Funk.” He’s also up for Album of the Year and Song of the Year for “That’s What I Like.”

SZA, Khalid, Childish Gambino, Cardi B. and more are all nominated for a 60th Grammy Award this year, that will air live from Madison Garden New York on Sunday Jan. 28th at 8pm on CBS.
